Culinary Schools Resources and Kids Games

The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted countless industries. We might even say it’s disrupted ALL of them! Some industries, like hospitality, have felt the full burden of labor shortages, regulatory impacts, and customer reduction. Others, like remote learning and conferencing, have boomed with new and eager eyeballs looking for career transitions or escapes from less than ideal realities. Kids, regrettably, have been stuck in the middle of it all while learning expectations continue to be demanding and parents are pushed and pulled more than ever before. In the midst of the chaos, I’d like to share a little gem with you that might just kill a few birds with one stone – the CulinarySchools.org resource – a digital platform for a plethora of culinary things like kids games, cooking tools, and a robust culinary-focused database for anyone looking to pursue their gastronomic passion.

This post was sponsored by CulinarySchools.org. All reviews and opinions expressed in this post are based on my personal view. Learn more.

The CulinarySchools.org website is a behemoth, which, while a bit overwhelming at first, is downright packed with resourceful information.

If it wasn’t worth knowing about, I wouldn’t be telling you.

To keep this review bite sized and leave you hungry for more, I’ve broken my review into 3 digestible sections: Culinary School Kid’s Games, Cooking Tools, and Culinary School Education.

Culinary School Kid’s Games

I feel pretty capable of speaking on this topic with three little chefs of my own. Especially since one of them has been through Young Chef’s Academy, one hates just about every food item besides chicken tenders and pancakes, and one loves to eat everything and help make everything while also almost always spilling everything eaten and made.

The wonderful thing about Culinary Schools’ kid’s games is that they’re wholesome, easy, and educational all at once.

The first game I tried was Sweety Cooking Chocolate Cake.

It’s very straightforward and will show kids the more common ingredients and steps used to bake a cake.

Unless a parent helps, a child would need to know how to read, so more of a 7 year old and up game for curious budding chefs.

After baking that sweet chocolate cake, I felt I needed to play Fitness Food Run!

These types of running games are as simple and easy as it gets but Culinary Schools gives it a unique twist with healthy and unhealthy food.

Now, let me warn you, you’re going to feel a little judged on this one. But, all jokes, shame, and guilt aside, I think it’s important to teach kids about nutrition.

Some food statistically leads to good health and other food statistically leads to poor health.

While parents can teach the finer nuances of balance and frequency, this game makes a clear point – eat veggies/fruits and avoid those french fries!

I think we could all be reminded of such sage advice.

There are literally so many games I’ll only mention a few more to wet you appetite.

To reinforce recycling, check out The Tom & Jerry Show River Recycle.

For budding entrepreneurs, you can run your own Coffee Shop or tap your way to grocery stardom in Tap Supermarket.

As a coffee owner, just be sure those kids can do a little math and get ready to see the dollars soaring, or in my case, not soaring because I demand $10 per cup!

Cooking Tools

While Culinary Schools kid’s game selection is impressive, they are much more than a place to park curious youngsters.

One of their neatest tools is a Tip Calculator that easily splits the bill between people and provides tipping percentages and a background history on where tipping actually came from.

Who knew William Howard Taft was such a poor tipper?!

The Ingredient Conversion tool is also spectacular.

We’ve all been there, wondering how many teaspoons is in a milliliter or some other obscure measurement. It can do liquids, calories, weights, and even temperatures all with simple, easy to use charts and dropdown menus.

They also have a Workout Calculator and Body Fat Calculator for the fitness foodies out there.

Talk about a one-stop shop for all things food!

What I really like about their tools is they also provide a ton of educational information to help frame the results.

So, not only do you find out your BMI score, for example, you also learn what healthy ranges are, what medical sources are used to determine those ranges, different ways of measuring your body, and how you can achieve your goals through purposeful action.

It really is so much more than just another tool to plug in numbers.

Culinary School Education

This wouldn’t be a very helpful review if I didn’t zero in on Culinary Schools’ bread and butter – culinary schooling!

They have so much information on training, schools, educational programs, degrees, and career insight.

The information ranges from comprehensive databases to find schools in your area filtered by specialty to the types of chefs working in the kitchen. There’s information on premier academy’s, kitchen management, and even salary ranges.

Did you know the chef and head cook career outlook is expected to grow 11% from 2018 to 2028? CulinarySchools.org does, that’s who.

If you’re interested in upping your culinary skills or exploring culinary kid’s games to teach young people about food, cooking, or even running a restaurant, head on over and check Culinary Schools out.

Who knows, that coffee tycoon you’ve got may just develop a passion to study at Le Cordon Bleu.

Do you love food? Want to become a better cook? Let me know in the comments what you think about CulinarySchool.org and what your favorite game is!
